Thankful Friday

My sister has been going through some crazy/annoying stuff with her future mother-in-law lately and it's only getting worse the closer the wedding gets (November). Her situation has made me realize how lucky I am. Sure some of my in-laws are a little annoying (not his parents though, I love them!) but for the most part, they're all pretty great.

Apart from all the obvious such as having a roof over my head, and food in my fridge, this is what I'm thankful for this Friday:

1. It's Friday
2. My husband is coming home soon
3. I have a wonderful family, both immediate and extended
4. The boxed set of 'Medium' and the bathing suit I ordered arrived yesterday *g*
5. I have great critique partners
6. No hurricanes have hit my city this year
7. My husband is coming home soon (did I already say that?)

What are you thankful for today? Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I'm thankful your hubby is coming home soon, too!
I'm also thankful for my health and that I have healthy kids (I remind myself of that when they start to drive me nuts).
We should never take the small things for granted!

I'm thankful that I haven't gone off the deep end. I'm thankful that Project Runway re-runs make me happy.

Glad to hear you have a calming environment, aside from your sister's in-laws.

Ah, wedding crazy. I may try to convince my kids (when they're of age) to elope. I'm wild about my hubby and can't imagine not being married to him, but I can still remember all the insanity that went with the wedding. Yep, money saved and time with the one you really want to see -- elopement sounds good.

You DO have a lot to be thankful for!

I'm sorry to hear that your sister and m-i-l aren't getting along too well. I'm very lucky that my in-laws like to stay out of things...for the most part. :)

I'm sure, you're also thankful the in-laws don't read your blog. *grin*
