I just read that an Indonesian woman had a 19 pound baby. 19 pounds! I can't even wrap my mind around that...ugh. *shudder*
I'm officially over the halfway point in my current WIP! I'm feeling relief and a healthy dose of nerves. I have the rest of the manuscript mapped out, but getting from point A to point B sometimes seems overwhelming. That's why I focus on each scene and let everything else just work itself out. If I don't, I get overwhelmed by the necessary word count and can't focus on my writing.
Weekends are when I usually get a big chunk of my weekly writing done, but that's not gonna happen tomorrow. I'll be spending some quality time at the beach soaking up a little sun, and catching up on my reading. I've already got books by Jill Sorenson, Karen Rose, Allison Brennan, Maya Banks, and a few Secrets books packed b/c I don't know what mood I'll be in. I hate being disconnected from the Internet for too long, but I'm insanely excited about catching up on my reading!
What are you plans for the weekend? What good books have you read lately that you can recommend?

I do the same thing on vacations, pack a few books for each day. A 7 day tropical vacation resulted in 15 books, and 12 bikinis.
I didn't count the shoes, but I insisted the Big Guy make some room in his bag for a few pairs.
So are you saying the 19 pound baby equals the halfway point of your WIP (i.e. a lot of hard pushing left) or was it just a happy coincidence? (har.)
Enjoy your beach reading!
December, you sound like me!
Pamela - I wasn't saying that, but I like the analogy ;)
I have to say, this is one of the main reasons I bought an ereader. I love being able to take a whole shelf of books with me!
I'm currently reading Uglies by Scott Westerfield. It's just okay.
Are you vacationing? How great in October, especially, if sand and reading are involved.
No time for reading. I'm less than 10K from the end of my WIP. Gotta stay focused. And yep, that's my weekend plan -- write, write and write to the end.
Happy sunning!
Woohoo! Good for you.
I get so dizzy with all your blog template changes. LOL
This one is so romantic! Lookie you.
